Baby/mineral oil on hair, scalp, skin??? - benefits of baby oil

I feel dry skin and baby oil from my skin well. Because my scalp is very dry, a day when I tried to put baby oil on the scalp and hair. It seems to work miracles (note, I'm African American .... it makes a difference in hair texture .... others would depends on) will benefit oil in the hair. However, I have heard negative things about mineral oil, as oil. We use many pure substances or in connection with "bad things". Does anyone know or an opinion on the use of baby oil in her hair, scalp and skin? We will use for years in the baby's not?
